" WORSHIP WITH REASON "
Give unto the LORD the glory [due] unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. (1 Chron 16:29 KJV)
What reason, you might ask, do you (or I) have to worship God? Oftentimes, among the daily battles of life, we believe we can think of none. In this verse of the bible, we are told to "bring" an offering before Him. What offering can I bring before Him today ... everyday, in fact? Even with the trials I face, can I find reason to "worship Him"? I can think of many. We can worship Him for His provisions to us, not only the natural provisions, but we only need to look around us, and "see". He provides the sunshine, bright and cheery. He provides the blue sky, often with scattered white, fluffy clouds; to be seen. He provides the rain, and the beauty of the silent, falling, pure snow. He provides the earth, the mountains, the hills, the flowers, the streams. He provides the sea, the ocean, and all the interesting and beautiful creatures, thereof. He provides the beautiful animals of the wild. He provides the very pets that sit at our feet. Yes, He provides. He provides all the beauty our eyes can behold! He too provides the food we eat, the clothes we wear, our places of shelter, yes, our every need. Our material goods are provided for us, through His provision. He provides the healing our body so often cries out for. He provides the peace our soul so greatly longs for. He provides, yes, He provides so very much for us. He provides the much needed love and care our heart has so great a need for, and not in this lifetime only, but throughout eternity. Today, let's consider something wonderful the Lord has provided for us, and let it capture our thoughts, let it capture our hearts. Let's offer Him the worship due His name, Amen!
Blessings to you! Marcia
