HIS NAME IS JESUS

He is the Light. Walk in His Light & Follow Him (John 12:46 kjv)

Christ, Your "Holy One"

We have come to the end of our "Names Of Jesus" series, as today's name is the last one of this series ... the name "Your Holy One".

It says in Isaiah:

I [am] the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. (Isa 43:15 KJV)

From this Old Testament verse, we see, if we backup one verse, to verse 14, us:

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts,  crying, Abba, Father. (Gal 4:3-6 KJV).

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (Titus 2:11-14 KJV).

Yes, "Your Holy One", is indeed Jesus, who redeems mankind (all who will come and receive from Him, the redemption of his, or her sin).  As well, your "Holy One" is He! Let's look into this a bit futher ... The demons knew it:

Saying, Let [us] alone; what have we to do with thee, [thou] Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God. (Luke 4:34 KJV).

I some times wonder if the demons might know it better than we do? They surely seem to know how mighty and powerful Jesus is, when we, ourselves, barely seem to feel we can trust Him, often questioning His power and authority in our lives. May we become more wise in the knowledge of Christ Jesus, I pray!  Consider the fact that the people desired that Jesus (the Holy One) be put to death, rather than the murderer Barabbas, agreeing to his (Barabbas) release, rather than the release of Jesus:

But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; (Acts 3:14 KJV)

But you denied and rejected and disowned the Pure and Holy, the Just and Blameless One, and demanded [the pardon of] a murderer to be granted to you. (Acts 3:14 Amplified Bible)

How often do we, like the people in this selection of scripture verses, choose unrighteousness over that which is righteous and holy? How often do we choose to put to death, that which is good, in and for our lives, and choose, that which is unrighteous and evil? Are we any different than these that we judge to be so corrupt?? There are times, I think not.

"Your Holy One" imparts an anointing to know (have knowledge of, perceive, understand), all things (whosoever, whatsoever, all manner of, every thing):

But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. (1 John 2:20 KJV).

Again, from the Amplified Bible:

But you have been anointed by [you hold a sacred appointment from, you have been given an unction from] the Holy One, and you all know [the Truth] or you know all things (1 John 2:20 Amplified Bible).

The "HOLY ONE" is our defense:

For the LORD [is] our defence; and the Holy One of Israel [is] our king. (Psalm 89:18 KJV).

How should you (and I) bless "Your Holy One"?? In what way might we exalt Him? Read on:

I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. (Psalm 69:30 KJV)

1. Yes, praise Him!:
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth [his] conversation [aright] will

I shew the salvation of God. (Psalm 50:23 KJV)

2. Worship Him!: O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. (Psalm 96:9 KJV)

From the Amplified Bible:
O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; tremble before and reverently fear Him, all the earth. (Psalm 96:9) Amplified Bible).

3. Lift up holy hands!:

Let us lift up our heart with [our] hands unto God in the heavens. (Lam 3:41 KJV).

4. For He hath done great things!:
He [is] thy praise, and he [is] thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen. (Deut 10:21 KJV).

For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy [is] his name. (Luke 1:49 KJV).

How beautiful this verse is written in the Amplified Bible:

For He Who is almighty has done great things for me--and holy is His name [to be venerated in His purity, majesty and glory]! (Luke 1:49 Amplified Bible).

5. Surely He is most worthy of our adoration:
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. (Rev 5:12 KJV).

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Rev 4:11 KJV).

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; (Col 1:10 KJV).

Again, from the Amplified Bible:
That you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and recognition]. (Col 1:10 Amplified Bible).

That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. (1 Thes 2:12 KJV).

Let's honor the Lord through our worship and prayers:

Lord Jesus, You are holy, indeed. Holy One are You. We praise You. We adore You, and pray that we might always walk worthy of You, for You are deserving of, and worthy of our adoration towards You. May our lives forever honor Your Name, in word and in deed. In Jesus righteous and holy name we pray ... Amen.

In the love of Christ,

Marcia
